Remarks

The Merge Command has many capabilities. It's base functionality is to simply combine two images.

It also allows for:

  • honoring transparent index, array or color information,
  • setting the tolerance level for color matching,
  • applying alpha channel information,
  • working with separate red, green, blue and alpha color channels,
  • support for pixel level AND and OR byte operations,
  • specifying overall opacity of the merged image data,
  • and setting the P:DTI.ImageMan.Commands.MergeCommand.xOffset and P:DTI.ImageMan.Commands.MergeCommand.yOffset offset for the overlay image.

Because this function works directly on the original imagecancel will have no effect.
