Remarks

Originally developed by ZSOFT for its PC Paintbrush program, DCX is a graphics file format for graphics programs running on PCs. This release supports reading and writing 1, 4, 8, and 24 bit bi-level, gray scale, and color images. DCX images are always written compressed using a simple run length encoding scheme.
