Glossary Item Box

Description

Rotates the image by the specified angle.

Syntax

Visual Basic
Public Function Rotate( _
   ByVal Degrees As Long, _
   ByVal BackColor As ULong _
) As Long

Parameters

Degrees
Specifies the angle in hundredths of a degree.
BackColor
Specifies the background color to be used when an image is rotated to a non ninety degree angle.

Remarks

Each time the method is invoked, the specified transformation will take place.

If rotation is not evenly divisible by 90 and autoscale is set to "maintain aspect ratio", the image will appear to get smaller with each rotation. With this in mind, in order to perform successive rotations on the same image, it would be best to have your code keep track of the cumulative rotation, then reload the original image (perhaps from a hidden control, for speed) to rotate it a single, total, amount.

Example

(Visual Basic)Copy Code
' Rotate an image 45 degrees and specify a Red background
ImageControl1.Rotate 4500, RGB(255,0,0)
